　　考题回忆: Your local newspaper is going to hold a competition where one person who has done most to help local community will be awarded. Write a letter to the editor:

　　-Name and describe about the person you think could in this competition

　　-How you know this person

　　-How he has helped the community

　　Dear Sir or Madam,

　　I am writing this letter to recommend my former teacher, Joseph Peng , for your Outstanding Contribution Award in our community.

　　大意：我写信来推荐某人作为获奖者。

　　He works as a teacher and is the most suitable person who deserves to win this competition because of his helping tendency, humbleness and kind nature. I have known him from my childhood as I studied in his class when I was in the fifth grade.

　　大意：他是一位老师，是得奖的最适合人选，因为他助人、谦虚、友善。我从小就认识他，从五年级开始上他的课。

　　He was my mathematics teacher. In addition to teaching Math, he used to tell many stories which taught us the values of life and thus, he became my favorite primary teacher. Though he is not wealthy, he runs an old-age home in our area to helping elderly people abandoned by their families. It was a great success. While his charity receives some donations from the public, it mainly runs on his own contributions. Helping others is his passion.

　　大意：他是我的数学老师。他还会给我们讲关于价值观的故事，是我最喜欢的小学老师。虽然审题不好，他还是为被遗弃的老人经营了一家养老院。他的义举得到了一些捐赠，但主要还是靠他个人奉献。他热心助人。

　　So, I request you to enroll him for your competition and award him the prize. This will motivate other kind-hearted people in our neighbourhood to also contribute to the community.
