  7分大作文

Nowadays, the topic of medical service attracts many peoples’ attention. They believe that private companies and the government are supposed to be responsible for providing funding for the medical research. Personally, I tend to agree with this opinion.

It is important to acknowledge that common citizens, no matter which country they are currently living in, have already been paying taxes in different ways, so that the government can keep running. By the time people pay taxes, the government has already promised to protect their citizens’ wellbeing, and it is unreasonable, dishonest and illegal to ask their citizens to pay for the medical assistance again. Therefore, I tend to argue that normal citizens do not need to spend extra money on medical service.

However, it is essential to point out that accidents do occur, and it is unrealistic to rely on the government’s assistance for every circumstance. At this time, I believe it is necessary for the private companies to step in. Obviously, the government cannot solve all citizens’ troubles. It is impossible and unfair to ask the government to allocate funding to all kinds of diseases, considering it is taxpayers’ money. Many researchers have already pointed out mild medical conditions, such as hair loss, nearsightedness and birthmark are not seriously harmful to health, but the medicines and treatments for such conditions are extremely expensive. In this case, many private companies employ their experts and purchase their own facilities to do their own research. It is their clients’ freedom to choose to have treatments or to stay the way they are.

Most importantly, it is the government’s promise to safeguard people’s health. When it comes to fatal diseases, such as malaria, cholera, pneumonia, hepatitis, and coronavirus, the government is supposed to tackle such problems first. The government needs to cut off certain funding, so that they can put it on some unexpected medical emergencies, such as inventing cures and vaccines for the newest diseases. It is not a surprise to hear that most of the governments in the world are in financial deficit, but I believe that it is not the taxpayers’ problem. The governments need to plan their budget more wisely, and they are supposed to use every dollar in a more cautious manner. In this regard, I do believe that each citizen can supervise how their government takes care of their medical services. Or else, such financial burden will finally fall upon their shoulders sooner or later in the future.

To conclude, I insist that normal citizen does not have to pay extra money for the medical research, while it is mostly private companies’ and the government’s responsibility.
