Adequate hard work can better yield success in the sports field. The reasonstems from the fact that the external hard work for an extended period of time would gradually shape the player’s actual physical body to be a better fit for the sports. Moreover, the hard work for , say a decade, would lead the player to develop strong skills for his/her specialization. Just as the saying goes, practice makes perfect. Take Liu Xiang as an example. He is the first Asian heritagetrack runner who broke the world record of the 110-meter hurdles in Olympics. He was not born in a family full of track runners, nor does he was born to have a perfect body for this particular sport. However, he started his training ever since 7 years old. By the time he was competing, he had already practiced this sport for over 10 years. That’s how a star is born and therefore, hard work is more important in achieving success in sports.
