The proportion of water consumption in three purposes from six regions of the world is revealed by these six pie charts.
To begin with, people in Europe use 53%(the highest figure compared with other areas)water for industry closely followed by that of North America (48%). Figures for other regons are all under 12%, and only 5% of water use is shared to industry in Central Asia.
Additionally, over 70% of water use can be attributed to agriculture in Central Asia, Africa, South East Asia and South Amenca, and the figure of Central Asia accounts or the highest 88%. By contrast, less than 40% of water consumption in North America(39%)and Europe 32%) is used for this purpose.
Meanwhile, domestic use of water is relatively insignificant, since no more than 20% of water use s caused by this purpose. People in South America consume 19% of water for this item, followed by Europe, North Amenca, Africa and the remaining two places in a descending order.
In summary, as we can readily see, in most areas agricultural use is always the most significant purpose of water consumption, whereas domestic use is the least substantal one.
