范文:Nowadays, news media is still the main way for the public to get information. However, the credibility of the media has always been questioned by some people. From my personal view, journalists and news corporations should really strive to improve the quality of how they report the news.
Nowadays, some reporters are rather irresponsible, and many people are quite surprised by what they have written. First, due to the lack of professional knowledge, many journalists cannot write news articles accurately. For example, a beginner technology journalist may not be able to have enough knowledge in their professional field, so his articles often appear inaccurate. Another important reason is that the competition in the media industry is very fierce. A few media reporters even fabricate information or create rumours intentionally. Obviously their sole purpose is to gain readers, or website counts by selling a story, so the truth is often secondary.
In order to gain the public's trust, everyone working in the media should learn to respect the facts. One of the principles of news reporting is to report news objectively and impartially. Without a doubt, only the media that adhere to this rule can survive in the market. Another point is that as a journalist, they must devote themselves to continuously learning. By expanding their knowledge in their particular field oumalists can make future reports more professiona and accurate, which is also a long-term commitment.
To summarise, the news corporations which have lost the trust of the readers because of false reporting do exist. Readers need to pay attention to news reports and cannot be taken in by what they read or hear as some sources are unreliable. More importantly people who work in the media, also need to improve their professional practice.
