范文
Higher education is now held in great regard in many countries. Many people believe that gving everyone access to higher education will bring many benefits to a country. However, some people think that a large number of graduates will find it difficult to find employment.
Without a doubt having access to higher education is crucial to any country or region. This is mainly because an important function of tertiary educationa institutions is to continuously produce qualified workers to all sectors of society. Countries tend to deploy strategic plans in advance for every field based on future needs. This will enable the country to have sufficient qualified graduates to better adapt to the labour market. In addition, the institutions at tertiary level also undertake scientific research in eading areas of the academic world. We can clearly see that those countries who have invested heavily both financially and in human resources in higher education have also achieved highly in the field of technology.
However, in some countries the number of unemployed university graduates is actually surprisingly high Many institutions may underestimate the number of students that intend to enrol on certain courses.
Therefore, some courses have too many students n their classes, which will far exceed the markets demand once the students have graduated. Some universities, in order to maximise profits, will advise applicants to enrol on their more expensive courses goring the future employability of the students or which courses best suits them. Undoubtedly, when students graduate, they will find that because of fierce competition and the market being saturated they may still be under qualified.
In conclusion, a country should encourage more people to continue their studies into higher education. However, we must realise that if the development of higher education is unbalanced it may lead to graduates having great difficulty in finding full-time employment.
