Both positive and negative effects of childcare have proven to be long lasting. Professionally managed childcare centers, therefore, with their growth-oriented environment for children are believed to be the best option for working parents. Although there are some argument in favor of relative care, I personally, share the view that childcare center is definitely have more benefits.

Advocates of relative care believe that the home environment provides a safe place for children to relax. Also one-on-one care is taken for granted if a child is under the care of family members. In addition, family members are more sensitive to child'semotional and physical needs, and provide consistent and responsive care. Babies, in particular, need a lot of love and attention to thrive and do well. However, in order to get accredited, childcare centers have to follow all of state's regulations, including child-to-staff ratios, which means they are capable of smaller groups of children and more individual attention.

Rather, many parents like childcare centers because they offer formal, structuredenvironment. Many childcare centers are inspected for licensing purposes, in some cases caregivers are supervised (many classrooms have more than one teacher), and a director oversees the entire operation. Simultaneously, staff members at childcare centers are usually knowledgeable and well - trained in early childhood education so they know what to expect from the child developmentally and are able to nurture his growing skills accordingly. Besides, toddlers can also benefit from the opportunity to socialize with and learn from other children which they may not get to do as often or at all when a relative cares for the at home.

In conclusion, I agree that childcare centers can provide better care for children where relative care never manage to reach a comparable level, as studies have shown that children in quality childcare centers may even have an intellectual edge overthose in other kinds of care.
