1. A child’s education has never been about learning information and basic skills only. It
has always included teaching the next generation how to be good members of society.
2. There is no doubt that traffic and pollution from vehicles have become huge problems,
both in cities and on motorways everywhere.
3. Traditionally, children have begun studying foreign languages at secondary school,
but introducing them earlier is recommended by some educationalists.
4. It has been suggested that high school students should be involved in unpaid
community services as a compulsory part of high school programmes. Most of the
colleges are already providing opportunities to gain work experience, however these
are not compulsory.
5. A problem of modern societies is the declining level of health in the general
population, with conflicting views on how to tackle this worrying trend.
6. Poor student behaviour seems to be an increasingly widespread problem and I think
that modern lifestyles are probably responsible for this.
7. So feelings about one's job must reflect how an individual feels about his or her life as
a whole, and because of this, job satisfaction is indeed very important for the
wellbeing of that person.
8. Therefore, this cannot be the responsibility of the parents alone.
9. Solving these problems is likely to need more than a simple rise in the price of petrol
10. This policy has been adopted by some educational authorities or individual schools,
with both positive and negative outcomes.
11. In my opinion, sending students to work in community services is a good idea as it
can provide them with many lots of valuable skills.
12. One possible solution is to provide more sports facilities to encourage a more active
lifestyle.
