　　The graph depicts 3 columns regarding public library borrowings in the United Kingdom

　　over a decade, beginning in 1995 and ending 2005. The horizontal axis measures time

　　in years while vertically, borrowing is measured in millions. There are 4 categories,

　　adult fiction, adult non-fiction, books for children and top audio-visual materials.

　　The most striking trend overall, is borrowings decreased over the period. Adult non-fiction

　　reported a massive fall, though top audio-visual products recorded a sustained and substantial rise.

　　An immediate observation is in 1995, the highest figure recorded was adult non-fiction, at 1,113 million,

　　falling significantly to 110 million in 2005. No other category recorded such a dramatic plummet.

　　In fact, adult fiction also showed a steady decline, dropping from 330 million, to 280 and then 230 million

　　respectively. In contrast, the classification, top audio-visual materials steadily increased, beginning at

　　28 million borrowings in 1995, to rise moderately in 2000 to 33 million. However, in

　　2005 this figure almost doubled at 60 million. The only class to register a rise and a fall was children's

　　books, starting at 107 million, rising moderately to 114 in 2000, only to dip to 104 million.
