多项选择题，是区别单项选择四选一的多选多题型。多选多，选项肯定是五个或五个以上，而正确答案的数目肯定在两个以上。
A. 题型特点
a.多为五或六项中选出二或三项符合原文内容的。
b.正确答案的数目是已知的。题目要求中常有WHICH FOUR，WHICH THREE等字样，要求考生选出几个选项。
C.答案在原文中是集中出现的。
B.解题思路
Step 1 详细阅读答题指引，尽量找出相关答题信息。
Step 2 按所给问题顺序答题。
Step 3 首先划去例句答案所在部分，紧随其后从上至下开始答题。
Step 4 在问句中找出关键词语。
Step 5 在所给选择答案中找出关键词语。
Step 6 依次将问句及选择答案中的关键词语与文章中的相关词语进行匹配。
Step 7 确定答案。

The Nature and Aims of Archaeology
Archaeology is partly the discovery of the treasures of the past, partly the careful work of the scientific analyst, partly the exercise of the creative imagination. It is toiling in the sun on an excavation in the Middle East, it is working with living Inuit in the snows of Alaska, and it is investigating the sewers of Roman Britain. But it is also the painstaking task of interpretation, so that we come to understand what these things mean for the human story. And it is the conservation of the word’s cultural heritage against looting and careless harm.

其实多选题并没有想象的那么难，可以把多选题的每一个选项都转化为一个True/False/Not Given题来做。做完之后，所有选True的选项便是应该选择的正确答案。
因此我们可以把本题的五个选项看作五个T／F／NG题，然后去解答这些T/F/NG题。因为T/F/NG往往是大家练习得很多、现存的技巧很多、特别具有“定位＋做题”特色的题，所以大家做起来会觉得轻车熟路。直接划出每个选项中的关键词，如 government planners、growing field、filedwork、subdivide、evolutionary patterns。接下来用这些词去定位，会发现只有D和E是true，其他的都是NG，所以正确答案就是DE。
D.注意事项
多选题有下列情况
1．All of the above．．．（上述全部）
2． Either A or B or C or above．．．（或者上面的A或B或C）
3． It depends on．．．（视·······而定）
如果出现上述三种情况，就要对所有的选择答案进行分析对比。
