　　Nowadays, there is a trend that more and more schools encourage students to go out of campus and have more extra curriculum activities such as filed trips. This essay aims to expound on some key advantages of the approach and recommend some places to visit.

　　The first reason behind this tendency is its relevance to the cultivation of cultural identity among younger generations. The very problem that afflicts both educators and learners today is the limitation on learning experience, which frustrates students’ enthusiasm; rather, filed trips may spark students’ interest in a variety of topics, or fields of work or study, which serves as an alternative way to broaden their horizons. Away from academic rewards, such extra curricula activities also provide more opportunities for students to practice social skills – rather than being listeners in classrooms, students can have more chances to communicate with peers during a trip.

　　As for the destinations of school trips, I will suggest the places that have cultural and historic meanings, whether these be museums of science or history, galleries, or the home of famous people’s homes. The visits to these locations will enhance the relationship between younger generations and the past of human civilization – such an experience cannot be gained as easily in lectures.

　　From what has been discussed above, it is my conclusion therefore, school trips or visits are of great importance to improve learning experience of students.
