01 Do you like insects?
Answer 1:
Well, not all kinds of insects! I’m fine with some of them, like butterflies,fireflies, and dragonflies because they look beautiful, and sometimes they are the subjects of my photos!
Answer 2:
I’m sorry to say that I don’t like them at all. Just seeing those creepy crawlies gives me the shivers and simply thinking about those cockroachesand beetles is hair-raising. I can’t put up with those kinds of insects.
02 Are there many insects in the place where you live?
Answer 1:
Yes, there are some of them but only non-threatening andendearing ones like honey bees and butterflies. I don’t see any frightening insects anymore since our house is treated with pesticides from time to time.
Answer 2:
Well, there are some but not all the time. I can see flies andmosquitos more often in summer, but usually, our communitymakes an effort to control the spread of those insects for health reasons.
03 Do you think insects are useful?
Answer 1:
Yes, they can be pretty useful. For instance, butterflies pollinate plants; bees produce honey that’s consumed by humans and dragonflies help with managing the number of mosquitos. These insects really serve a purpose for both the environment and humans.
Answer 2:
I don’t mean to sound pessimistic, but many insects are just pests that destroy farmlands and transmit diseases. They seem to be quite useless for mankind and the environment as well.
