　　思路：

　　一般同意反对类的题目，都是一个比较武断的结论，选择反对的立场比较合

　　这道题目的几个关键词，should not spend on international aid，disadvantaged people in their country，the unemployed and homeless，在论证时要注意这几个话题词都要有内容回应，尤其在论证本国问题时，题目提到的the unemployed and homeless要有内容对应

　　There is an assumption that governments should not involve themselves in global anti-poverty schemes because their domestic problems deserve higher priority. I would say it is an oversimplified opinion in the context of globalization.

　　It is not difficult to understand, from the perspective of nationalism, that an authority should place primary emphasis on the impoverished in its own country. For the majority, they are preoccupied with the well-being of their own – they believe the state fund should be used to improve living standards of its citizenry, for example by creating more job opportunities or constructing more public housing. Adding to this point is the political consideration – improving the living standard of people in other countries dose not help politicians attract voters in local communities.

　　The problem of those who think in this way, in my view, is that they are oblivious to the underlying connections between individual country and macro environment in the age of globalization – it is no longer possible for a country to prosper alone in a worldwide recession. For instance, the creating of new job opportunities in one country often hinges on orders from abroad. On the other hand, the local turmoil today, if not well addressed, will inevitably entail ripple effects throughout the world. One convincing example are the refugees from Syria, who plague the whole continent of Europe, resulting in myriads of economic and political risks among different countries. In this respect, it is in the interest of each country to make contributions to global aid.

　　It is my conclusion therefore, it would be myopic to only focus on domestic issues; rather, politicians should proactively engage in global aid with a comprehensive perspective.
