　　To curb environmental deterioration, a severe challenge we have to overcome, it is argued that the treatment cost over the pollution should be covered by enterprises and individuals, the main culprits of environmental contamination，rather than the government. I disagree with this opinion.

　　First of all, the reasons for this trend involve the recognition that private owned firms and the public are the direct benefactors. For the former, a huge economic profit is made from producing and marketing series products while life convenience is the main advantage for the later when consuming disposable products. In this way，they should shoulder the financial cost of environmental protection.

　　Moreover, requiring these companies and individuals to bear the expense can restrict the increasing consumption and alleviate the discharge of waste. Being aware enough of additional cost from producing pollution, manufacturers are more likely to replace the old and outdated machines with environmentally friendly equipment. Meanwhile, individual lifestyle will also shift from wasting resources like using plastic bags into protecting environment by saving energy.

　　However，the government should also be responsible for disposal cost used for the clearance of contamination. It is common knowledge that the authority shares out bonus from these commercial activities and personal consumption, as most tax revenues are imposed and obtained from producer and customers. Therefore, it is also the governmental obligation to resolve the problem of environmental deterioration.

　　In conclusion, I believe the joint effort from the government, private enterprises and individuals is the key to eliminating this problem, as they all benefit economically from environmental destruction.
