【参考范文】Modern media has reshaped the way people access information with more convenience and great efficiency. In fact, reading on computers and other alike electronic devices is gradually replacing the traditional public choices on newspapers or magazines. However, despite the actual transformation in the public reading habits and industry needs, in my personal view, the printed media forms still have obvious existent meanings.
There is no doubt that with e-reading on modern technological devices, the public have an access to a wider range of news and information with a negligible cost of money. Since countless websites and e-books online are for free reading, people today can save all the subscription costs on printed or posted newspapers and magazines. And what is better is that readers can pick anything enjoyable to read at any point in time without being restricted by the rigid subscription terms. Also, to the whole printing and media industry, this revolution saves a considerable amount of wood and water resource during the printing process, not to mention the other imaginable costs in transportation, human labors and even time.
However, all these positive sides brought by the industry revolution does not doom the end of the destiny of traditional media forms. In fact, magazines and newspapers are irreplaceable regarding their roles in education, employment, cultural diversity and vision protection. For some special group of collectors, these printed works even pose great collection value, especially the ones that had been limited issued.
Therefore, diversified choices in media forms cannot be a totally bad thing for the entire society and what is the most important is that public can pick their suitable reading materials and enjoy the pleasure in reading.
